Role OverviewWe are looking for an Export Sales & Marketing Executive to support and grow Garden Flavours’ international business.
The role will involve identifying export opportunities, generating qualified leads, managing export client communication, coordinating export orders, maintaining documentation, and supporting short-term and long-term market growth strategies.
The role will also require the candidate to work on-site and actively on-field, meeting potential clients, distributors, manufacturers, and business partners to generate both local and international business opportunities.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working across sales, documentation, logistics, marketing, and internal production teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesExport Sales & Lead Generation- Identify and generate leads from international markets for flavours, food ingredients, and related products.
- Research potential customers, distributors, importers, manufacturers, and traders across target countries.
- Build and maintain a structured export sales pipeline.
- Support outreach through email, LinkedIn, trade platforms, exhibitions, and distributor networks.
- Follow up with leads and convert qualified opportunities into business discussions.
Client Relationship Management- Maintain regular communication with existing export clients and distributors.
- Ensure client queries, sample requests, quotations, and order updates are handled professionally.
- Support client retention through timely follow-ups, feedback collection, and relationship management.
- Identify opportunities for repeat orders, cross-selling, and new product introductions.
Export Order Management- Manage export orders from enquiry to dispatch.
- Coordinate internally with production, QA/QC, packing, dispatch, and accounts teams.
- Track order timelines, production status, dispatch schedules, and client communication.
- Ensure smooth execution of all export-related commitments.
Field Sales & Market Development- Work on-site and actively participate in field sales activities to generate new business opportunities.
- Meet potential clients, distributors, manufacturers, importers, and trade partners to build business relationships.
- Support both local market development and international business growth through client visits, trade outreach, and follow-ups.
- Represent Garden Flavours professionally during client meetings, exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, and business development visits.
- Share market feedback, client requirements, and business opportunities with internal sales, marketing, and product teams.
Export Documentation & Records- Maintain accurate export records, client files, quotations, order details, shipment documents, and communication history.
- Coordinate documents such as:
- Proforma invoices
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- COA / MSDS / TDS
- Shipping documents
- Regulatory or client-specific documentation
- Ensure proper filing and traceability of all export-related records.
Market Research & Strategy- Research international market opportunities for flavour and food ingredient categories.
- Track competitor activity, pricing trends, distributor opportunities, and category demand.
- Suggest short-term and long-term strategies for export growth.
- Identify priority markets and recommend product categories to push in each region.
Marketing & Business Development Support- Work with the marketing team to create export-focused communication, email campaigns, product decks, and presentations.
- Support participation in international exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, and trade outreach.
- Help build market-specific pitch material and product communication.
Reporting & Goal Tracking- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on:
- Leads generated
- Follow-ups completed
- Active opportunities
- Orders received
- Client feedback
- Market learnings
- Track progress against export sales and business development goals.
Required Skills & Experience- 2–5 years of experience in export sales, international business development, or export coordination.
- Experience in flavours, food ingredients, FMCG, chemicals, or B2B manufacturing preferred.
- Understanding of export documentation and order coordination.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good command over Excel, email communication, and record management.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams and external clients.
- Proactive mindset with strong follow-up discipline.
- Comfortable with on-field sales, client meetings, market visits, and business development outreach.
- Willing to work on-site and travel as required for local and export business development.
Good to Have- Experience handling distributors or international B2B clients.
- Knowledge of export processes, logistics, Incoterms, and basic regulatory documentation.
- Exposure to trade portals, LinkedIn lead generation, exhibitions, or international buyer databases.
- Understanding of food ingredient applications or flavour categories.
