Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Export Sales Manager role based in Mumbai. The Export Sales Manager will develop and execute export sales strategies, identify new international markets, and manage key customer accounts across assigned regions. The role includes preparing and negotiating quotations, contracts, and pricing, while ensuring compliance with export regulations, documentation, and trade terms. The Export Sales Manager will coordinate with internal teams for order processing, logistics, production planning, and quality to meet delivery commitments. Daily responsibilities also include sales forecasting, pipeline management, and regular reporting on market trends, competitor activity, and performance against targets. The role requires building long-term relationships with global clients and partners, including participation in trade shows, customer visits, and virtual meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales and International Sales skills, with experience achieving revenue targets in export markets.
- Proficiency in Export and International Business operations, including documentation, Incoterms, and trade compliance.
- Business Planning capabilities to develop market entry plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies.
- Proven experience in B2B industrial or metal products sales; prior experience in steel or related industries is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with diverse international stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze market data, pricing trends, and customer requirements to inform commercial decisions.
- Comfort working on-site in Mumbai and collaborating closely with production, logistics, and finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications or export certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on business needs.
