Role Summary
· We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Export Manager to lead and manage the company’s international trade operations and global business development.
· The role involves overseeing end-to-end export processes including market expansion, export documentation, regulatory compliance, logistics coordination, and distributor management.
· The Export Manager will be responsible for developing international markets, managing export logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strategic partnerships with overseas distributors and retailers.
Key Responsibilities – Export Operations & Compliance
· Manage the complete export cycle including pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation and logistics coordination.
· Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards such as FSSAI, USFDA, EU food regulations, and other international market requirements.
· Coordinate with Custom House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs authorities, and banks for smooth export operations.
· Handle export documentation through DGFT, ICEGATE, and other EXIM platforms.
International Business Development
· Identify and develop new international markets and distribution channels to expand the company’s global presence.
· Establish relationships with overseas distributors, importers, retail chains, and key accounts.
· Manage B2B and B2C export sales across international markets.
· Participate in international trade exhibitions and food expos to promote products and generate new leads.
Distributor & Key Account Management
· Appoint and manage country-wise distributors and channel partners.
· Maintain strong relationships with international clients, retailers, and distributors.
· Monitor distributor performance and ensure achievement of sales targets and market penetration.
Export Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
· Plan and coordinate shipment schedules via air and sea (FCL/LCL).
· Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
· Liaise with production, inventory, and quality teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and dispatch.
· Ensure export packaging compliance and labeling according to destination country regulations.
Regulatory & Product Compliance
· Coordinate product registration with overseas regulatory authorities such as FDA and other food safety agencies.
· Strong understanding of Western markets such as the US, UK, Australia, and Canada, along with knowledge of export compliance requirements for food and beverage products from India to these countries.
· Ensure export packaging, labeling, and product specifications meet country-specific legal requirements.
· Maintain documentation related to product approvals, certifications, and compliance standards.
Export Incentives & Financial Coordination
· Manage government export incentive schemes including Duty Drawback, MEIS/RoDTEP, EPCG, and Advance Authorization.
· Coordinate with finance and banking partners for Letter of Credit (LC), payments, and subsidy claims.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s Degree / MBA in International Business, Marketing, or EXIM Management.
· Minimum 10–12 years of experience in export operations or international business, preferably in FMCG or food products.
· Proven track record in international sales, distributor development, and export logistics management.
