Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Export Manager to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. The Export Manager will be responsible for developing and executing export strategies, managing international trade operations, and building relationships with global clients. Key responsibilities include coordinating export logistics, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, identifying new markets, and driving sales to increase global reach and revenue. The role requires collaboration across teams to implement business planning tailored to customer and market needs.

Key responsibilities
1. International Business Development
- Identify and develop new markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
- Appoint and manage distributors, importers, and channel partners
- Drive market entry strategies and establish Agriplast's presence globally
- Represent the company at international exhibitions and trade events
2. Export Sales Strategy
- Develop country-specific go-to-market strategies
- Define pricing, positioning, and product mix for each region
- Track competitor movements and market trends
- Align offerings with crop patterns, climate conditions, and local needs
3. Key Account & Partner Management
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with global clients
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing
- Drive repeat business and distributor performance
- Manage key strategic accounts
4. Export Operations & Compliance
- Handle end-to-end export processes:
- Documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, LC, etc.)
- Coordination with logistics, CHA, and freight forwarders
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and standards
- Monitor shipment timelines and resolve bottlenecks
5. Internal Coordination
- Collaborate with:
- Production for order planning
- Technical team for product customization
- Finance for payments, LC handling, and risk mitigation
- Provide structured market feedback to improve product offerings
6. Brand Building (Global)
- Position Agriplast as a premium protected cultivation brand
- Strengthen visibility in international markets
- Support global marketing and branding initiatives
Key Skills Required
- Strong exposure to export sales and international markets
- Proven track record in B2B sales & distributor management
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS, LC handling, and export documentation
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work across cultures and travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in:
- International Business / Commerce / Agriculture / Engineering
- MBA (International Business / Marketing) preferred
- Industry exposure to:
- Protected cultivation
- Agri-inputs / plasticulture/irrigation systems
