About the Role
The Waxpol Industries Limited is seeking a commercially driven and internationally oriented Export Manager to lead export business development across global markets for automotive care chemicals, detailing products, lubricants, and related automotive aftermarket products. The role requires a strong closer who can:
- Convert international leads into long-term business relationships
- Develop and expand distributor networks
- Drive repeat business and account growth
- Build market presence across strategic export territories
This position combines international sales, market development, channel management, commercial negotiation, and customer retention, while working closely with internal operations, production, supply chain, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
International Business Development & Lead Conversion
- Identify, qualify, and convert international leads into profitable export business.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of distributors, importers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
- Drive the complete sales cycle from lead generation and sampling to negotiation, closure, and repeat business.
- Develop market-entry strategies for new countries and regions.
Distributor & Channel Network Development
- Appoint and manage international distributors and channel partners.
- Develop country-wise distribution strategies and growth plans.
- Monitor distributor performance, sales throughput, and market coverage.
- Support partners with pricing, product training, promotional activities, and business planning.
Client Relationship Management & Retention
- Build strong long-term relationships with international customers and key accounts.
- Ensure high customer engagement, responsiveness, and commercial support.
- Handle client escalations, negotiations, and commercial discussions professionally.
- Improve retention and repeat business through proactive account management.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Expansion
Conduct market analysis covering:
- Competitor products
- Pricing trends
- Regulatory requirements
- Product positioning
- Demand trends
- Identify high-potential export markets and emerging opportunities.
- Recommend market-specific product and pricing strategies.
Commercial Negotiation & Export Contracts
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, exclusivity, and commercial agreements.
- Structure commercially viable and scalable distributor arrangements.
- Coordinate contract execution and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms.
Export Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Documentation teams to ensure smooth execution of export orders.
- Ensure timely shipment planning and documentation compliance.
- Monitor order fulfillment timelines and customer satisfaction.
International Branding & Market Presence
- Support international exhibitions, trade fairs, distributor meets, and customer presentations.
- Work with marketing teams to develop export-focused promotional materials and communication.
- Strengthen Waxpol’s visibility across international automotive aftermarket channels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
5–12+ years of experience in:
- Export sales
- International business development
- Automotive aftermarket exports
- Automotive care chemicals / detailing products / lubricants
Proven track record in:
- International lead conversion
- Distributor appointment and management
- Global account development
- Commercial negotiation
Strong understanding of:
- Export documentation
- International trade practices
- INCOTERMS
- International pricing and channel structures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or related field
- MBA / PGDM preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel internationally as required
