logistics and freight forwarding operations.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore for an Export Logistics & Freight Forwarding Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end export logistics, freight forwarding, shipping line negotiations, port operations, documentation, and shipment execution. The role requires close coordination with shipping lines, CHA partners, transporters, customers, and overseas buyers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Manage complete export logistics and freight forwarding operations
✅ Negotiate competitive ocean freight rates with shipping lines such as Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, and other carriers
✅ Select the most suitable shipping line based on freight cost, transit time, equipment availability, and service reliability
✅ Coordinate with ports, CFS, transporters, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
✅ Handle export documentation and shipment execution
✅ Track vessel schedules and ensure timely cargo movement
✅ Resolve operational issues related to port handling, container availability, and shipment delays
✅ Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and logistics service providers
Qualifications
✔ Proven experience in Export Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Port Operations
✔ Strong understanding of container shipping, vessel planning, and export documentation
✔ Excellent negotiation skills with shipping lines and freight forwarders
✔ Knowledge of international trade procedures and export compliance
✔ Strong communication and customer coordination skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
✔ Experience in agricultural commodity exports will be highly preferred
