About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Export Documentation & Logistics Specialist to own the end-to-end movement of goods across international borders. You will be responsible for preparing and managing all export documentation, coordinating customs clearance, and overseeing logistics operations to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Export Documentation
• Prepare and verify all export documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and letters of credit.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with importing country regulations and trade agreements.
• Maintain organised records of all export transactions for audit and regulatory review.
Customs Clearance
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities to facilitate smooth clearance of export shipments.
• Classify goods under the correct HS/HTS codes and ensure compliance with DGFT, FEMA, and EXIM regulations.
• Resolve customs queries, detentions, or disputes in coordination with legal and compliance teams.
Logistics & Coordination
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and 3PL providers to plan and execute shipments via sea, air, and road.
• Negotiate freight rates, transit times, and service agreements to optimise cost and delivery performance. • Coordinate with internal teams — sales, warehouse, finance, and production — to align shipment schedules with order fulfilment timelines.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in export documentation, customs clearance, and international logistics. • Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, UCP 600, FEMA, and applicable EXIM policies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating forwarders, and customs authorities.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline orientation, and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously
