Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Export Assistant role based in Kolkata. The Export Assistant will support end-to-end export operations, including preparing and verifying export documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal teams, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery. The role involves handling customer inquiries, sharing shipment updates, and resolving issues related to orders and logistics. The Export Assistant will assist in maintaining records, updating export databases and reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant export regulations and company policies. The role also includes collaborating with senior team members on process improvements and supporting import-export related administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Export Documentation and general Export procedures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Import Export and International Business operations.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills for managing client communication and queries.
- Candidates should have good written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Candidates should be proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, spreadsheets) and comfortable working with digital records.
- Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Prior experience or training in export, logistics, or international trade is beneficial; a diploma or degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field is preferred.
