Role Description The Export and Import Manager is a full-time, Remote role with travel . This position oversees end-to-end export and import operations, including documentation, compliance with international trade regulations, and coordination with logistics providers, customs agents, and regulatory authorities. The manager will plan and monitor shipments, negotiate freight and shipping terms, track delivery timelines, and resolve any operational issues related to cross-border movement of goods. Day-to-day tasks include managing export/import documentation, maintaining accurate records, liaising with suppliers and customers, and optimizing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams such as operations, sales, and finance to support global expansion and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of export and import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Sourcing international products
- Experience managing logistics, shipment planning, and coordination with freight forwarders and carriers.
- Ability to prepare, review, and maintain accurate export/import documentation and records.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and other tools for tracking orders, inventory, and shipping status.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers, customers, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field; relevant certifications in export/import management are an advantage.
- Prior experience in export/import operations, preferably in consumer products, wellness, or related industries.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
