Senior Test Engineer

As a Senior Test Engineer at Explorance, you will have the hands-on opportunity to work with a growing team to solve interesting challenges is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium, as well as mentoring junior team members and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. The role requires a deep understanding of testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and continuous integration processes. Roles and Responsibilities: Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and define test strategies. Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure full test coverage. Test Automation: Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and other automation tools. Create and manage test automation frameworks to ensure reusable, efficient, and scalable test automation. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and early detection of defects. Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated test scripts, analyse results, and report defects using appropriate bug-tracking tools. Perform regression testing to validate fixes and enhancements. Generate detailed test reports, metrics, and dashboards to track quality and progress. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior test engineers in test automation best practices, scripting, and framework design. Lead test automation efforts, including planning, resource allocation, and coordination with other teams. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing. Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to provide testing insights. Communicate test progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in test automation and software testing. Continuously improve test automation frameworks, processes, and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
