What will you contribute?
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the availability, performance, and security of the company's global network infrastructure. A true technical expert in networking and telephony, you will support the Infrastructure, Security, and Support teams in implementing a reliable and secure network, perfectly aligned with the company's needs.
Key Contributions Include
- Maintenance and optimization of LAN/WAN network environments and data centers.
- Management of Microsoft Teams telephony, SBC integration, and voice routing.
- Administration of Cisco and Fortinet equipment, including firewall security and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitoring telecom operators and network services (WAN, Internet, SIP).
- Support for hybrid and cloud infrastructures, including contributing to the design and operation of Azure networks.
- Level 2/3 expert support for network performance, connectivity, and telephony issues.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
LAN/WAN & Datacenter Networking
- Administer, monitor, and optimize LAN and WAN infrastructures: switching, routing, VLANs, link management.
- Operate datacenter networks ensuring high availability, segmentation, and performance.
- Implement and maintain security policies (ACLs, segmentation, routing/security rules).
- Diagnose and resolve network performance or connectivity issues.
- Participate in network evolution projects: hardware refresh, SD WAN, new sites, and capacity improvements.
Microsoft Teams Telephony
- Manage Teams Telephony: call routing, SBC configuration, SIP trunking, number assignment.
- Monitor call quality and troubleshoot QoS and voice related issues.
- Coordinate with telecom operators for SIP services, number management, and incident resolution.
Cisco & Fortinet Administration
- Administer Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate): policies, NAT, VPN IPSec/SSL, security profiles.
- Configure and maintain Cisco switches/routers: IOS upgrades, security hardening, troubleshooting.
- Conduct vulnerability mitigation actions and follow remediation plans.
- Monitor logs, alerts, and network flows via supervision platforms.
Telecom Operator Management
- Manage relationships with telecom providers (Internet, WAN/MPLS/SD WAN, SIP).
- Follow up on incident tickets, SLAs, escalations, and service delivery.
- Support technical discussions and planning for network changes or upgrades.
Cloud Networking
- Contribute to cloud network design and operations:
- VNet, Subnets, VNet Peering
- NSG/ASG
- VPN Gateway, Site-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute
- Azure Firewall & routing (UDR)
- Collaborate with cloud teams on hybrid environments, interconnections, and security hardening.
Documentation & Governance
- Produce technical documentation: network diagrams, configuration guides, procedures, runbooks.
- Maintain inventories and CMDB accuracy.
- Contribute to network standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Expected Deliverables
- Updated network configuration documentation and diagrams.
- Firewall policies, VPN configurations, and security rule updates.
- Troubleshooting reports, RCA (root cause analysis), and incident documentation.
- Monitoring dashboards and operational performance reports..
Required Experience
Technical Experience
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in LAN/WAN network administration.
- Strong expertise with Cisco and Fortinet switching/routing (VLANS, STP, OSPF, BGP).
- Practical experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls: configuration, policies, VPN.
- Practical experience with Forti Manager
- Solid operational experience with Microsoft Teams Telephony (SBC, SIP, routing, QoS).
- Experience managing datacenter network infrastructures.
- Experience with telecom operators (WAN circuits, fiber, SIP trunks, SLAs).
- Knowledge of network vulnerability management and remediation practices.
- Good understanding of Azure networking: VNet, NSG, VPN, ExpressRoute, UDR.
- Experience using network monitoring tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, etc.).
