As children prepare to transition from preschool to formal schooling, our Upper KG program plays a critical role in shaping their confidence, independence, and foundational academic skills.
We are looking for an educator who can balance warmth with structure, ensuring children are not just ready for school—but ready for life.
Role Overview
As an Upper KG Teacher, you will lead a class of 5–6-year-olds, focusing on:
- Strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy
- School readiness and independent learning
- Confidence, communication, and classroom behaviour
This role requires a teacher who can bring clarity, structure, and purpose to learning—while still maintaining a joyful, child-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
✏️ Academic Planning & Execution
- Plan and deliver structured lessons in:
- Language development (phonics, reading readiness, writing skills)
- Numeracy (number sense, basic operations, logical thinking)
- Ensure children are well-prepared for transition into formal schools (IB / CBSE / ICSE).
Holistic Development
- Integrate activities that build:
- Communication skills
- Problem-solving and thinking skills
- Socio-emotional development
- Balance academics with creativity, play, and exploration.
Classroom Leadership
- Manage the classroom with confidence, warmth, and consistency.
- Establish routines, discipline, and independent work habits.
- Create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding:
- Child progress
- School readiness
- Areas of improvement
- Conduct PTMs and provide meaningful, actionable feedback.
Assessment & Documentation
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress.
- Maintain records aligned with curriculum goals and developmental milestones.
Who Should Apply
- Graduate with ECCE / NTT / Montessori training/ B.Ed.
- 3–5 years of experience, preferably with Kindergarten / UKG level.
- Strong command over English (spoken and written).
- Clear understanding of phonics and early numeracy concepts.
- Ability to bring structure without rigidity and warmth without losing control.
- Confident, organised, and passionate about preparing children for formal schooling.
