About the role

Expedient is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Alliances to develop and execute our go-to-market (GTM) strategy with strategic alliance partners. This role will drive enablement & collaboration, and maximize the value of partnerships with OEMs, national strategic partners, VARs, and Managed Service Providers as well as other key alliances and adjacent businesses.

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the VP of Strategic Alliances will own the success of Expedient’s strategic alliance go-to-market strategy, initially driving results through influence and collaboration with matrixed teams across all facets of the business.

As the program achieves success and drives increased deal flow and revenue, this leader will then build and oversee a team of National Alliance Directors to manage and scale these key partnerships. The role will also be responsible for the award of Market Development Funds (MDF) from our vendors, serve as the primary liaison between Expedient and its alliance partners, providing strategic recommendations to the Executive Team, and will also have specific revenue contribution objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • GTM Strategy and Enablement: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies with strategic alliance partners to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Coordinate with Revenue Acceleration on internal enablement programs to equip Expedient’s sales teams with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to effectively collaborate with alliance partners.
  • Team Leadership: Build a team of National Alliance Directors as success justifies with each responsible for managing a subset of alliance and strategic partners, ensuring alignment with Expedient’s goals and consistent execution of partnership strategies.
  • Partnership Management: Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for strategic alliance partners.  Foster strong relationships to align on mutual goals and objectives.
  • MDF Generation: Collect Market Development Funds (MDF) from alliance partners to support joint marketing initiatives, campaigns, and enablement activities that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution of partnership initiatives. Collaborate with external partner teams to align strategies and deliverables.
  • Strategic Liaison: Provide updates, feedback, and directional strategy recommendations to Expedient’s Executive Team based on strategic alliance partner performance, market trends, and business opportunities. Represent Expedient in executive-level discussions with alliance partners.
  • Revenue and Growth: Drive measurable business outcomes through alliance partnerships, including increased deal closures, pipeline growth, and enhanced brand visibility in the cloud, data center, AI and managed services markets.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies in the data center, cloud, and AI sectors to help inform partnership strategies and positioning.
Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategic alliances, partnership management, or business development, with a proven track record of success in the data center, cloud, or managed services industries.
    • Prior leadership or executive-level roles in alliance management or related fields strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience working with OEMs and national partners.
    • Experience leading and managing high-performing teams, preferably in a national or distributed structure.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of GTM strategies, sales enablement, and partner ecosystem dynamics.
    • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable results.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market insights into actionable recommendations.
    • Experience managing MDF or similar partner funding programs.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required

Compensation for this role is directly based on your experience, skill and performance. Estimated OTE is approximately $250k to $300k annually.
