Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Exotic Veterinary Doctor in a full-time, on-site role located in Lucknow. The responsibilities include diagnosing and treating exotic animals with specialized care, providing medical expertise, and maintaining thorough health records. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the wellbeing of a variety of exotic species. Additional duties include educating clients on proper care, animal safety, and health maintenance. The salary range for this role is ₹70,000 to ₹3,00,000 per month, commensurate with experience and expertise.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing and conducting medical examinations for exotic animals
- Ability to devise and execute treatment plans, surgical interventions, and therapeutic care for exotic species
- Strong knowledge of animal nutrition, behavior, and preventive care specific to exotic animals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate and engage with clients about animal care
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a veterinary doctor, with expertise in exotic animals preferred
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex cases
- Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVSC) degree or equivalent qualification
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in India
- Experience with wildlife or zoo animals is a bonus
- Commitment to providing compassionate and ethical care to all animals
