Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented EXIM Manager to oversee and manage all export and import-related operations for our Noida-based facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documentation, coordination with customs, banking procedures, freight forwarding, CHA (Customs House Agent) handling, and ensuring end-to-end compliance with EXIM policies and procedures.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Export-Import Documentation:
Prepare, verify, and manage all documentation for export and import shipments (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Shipping Instructions, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
Maintain records of shipments and ensure accurate data entry in ERP or Tally systems.
Ensure proper classification (HS codes), valuation, and documentation as per customs guidelines.
2. Customs Clearance & CHA Coordination:
Liaise with Customs House Agents (CHA) for smooth and timely clearance of goods.
Handle pre- and post-shipment documentation as per Indian customs and DGFT norms.
Follow up with customs authorities for assessments, duty drawbacks, and license applications.
3. Banking & Foreign Exchange Management:
Coordinate with banks for LC (Letter of Credit), BRC (Bank Realization Certificate), AD code registration, and remittances.
Ensure timely submission of shipping documents to banks for realization.
Monitor forex transactions and coordinate for forward booking, if required.
4. Freight & Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and shipping lines for cargo booking, container tracking, and delivery schedules.
Optimize logistics cost while ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all government and statutory regulations including DGFT, Customs, RBI, and FEMA guidelines.
Manage applications for EPCG, Advance License, MEIS/RODTEP benefits, etc.
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Purchase, Production, Finance) to streamline EXIM processes.
Build relationships with freight forwarders, CHAs, banks, and regulatory bodies.
7. Reporting & MIS:
Generate regular reports on shipments, cost analysis, duty benefits, and document status.
Track key metrics like lead time, customs clearance delays, and cost per shipment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate/Post-Graduate in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in EXIM operations, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
Strong knowledge of Indian customs, DGFT, FEMA, and EXIM documentation.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and digital filing tools (ICEGATE, DGFT portal).
Excellent coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications (Optional):
Certificate/Diploma in Export-Import Management
DGFT or Customs-related compliance certifications
