Role Description The EXIM Consultant will be responsible for managing and advising on export-import operations, with a focus on compliance, documentation, and process optimization for clients in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing EXIM documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders (such as customs, banks, and logistics partners), and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and trade policies. The consultant will analyze business requirements, design solutions that integrate with enterprise systems, and support implementation, testing, and user training. The role also involves monitoring process performance, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting with reporting and audits related to EXIM activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of export-import regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.
- Experience in EXIM documentation, including letters of credit, shipping documents, and statutory filings.
- Familiarity with enterprise application software and integration of EXIM processes with ERP or similar systems.
- Ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and propose practical, technology-enabled solutions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for working with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and capability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, International Trade, or a related field; professional certifications in EXIM or foreign trade are an advantage.
- Prior consulting or industry experience in EXIM operations, preferably in technology-enabled or SAP-integrated environments.
