PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for designing and planning extensions and revisions to the company's distribution system for new or existing residential, rural, and small commercial customers. Facilitate the installation of additions to the company's street lighting system and complete 3rd party make ready work. Prepare necessary sketches to electronically convert your design plan using computer programs such as TED/CEGIS, Pole Foreman, Asset Suite 8, Joint Work Agreements, CET Contracts, and Microsoft Office. Must be able to learn and apply Engineering Standards and Practices and interpret engineering plans from developers. Utilize correct Rates and Riders to communicate requirements with the customer in a professional manner to ensure that the customer's needs are met. Prepare contracts, permits and other related paperwork to provide service to customers. Contact customers, contractors, city inspectors and internal departments regarding the connection of electric service. Must be able to multi-task and complete high-volume design projects at the same time. Required to do job walk-downs over various field and weather conditions to gather and verify information. Requires field work including work site visits. Must be able to work safely, independently, and in a team environment. Additionally, the GSR actively participates in storm restoration with potential for overtime and callouts. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

JOB SCOPE

Per the GSR agreement, we will reach out to candidates individually in seniority order. This posting will not be held via the weekly conference call.
Also, per the 2017 GSR agreement, the employee will be required to pass the GSR assessment, a day in the field, and have passed SASS. If you have not had the assessment or day in the field, but are contacted and interested in the job, we will discuss next steps with you. The employee must pass the GSR assessment (instructor led class related to GSR work at a company location on company time). A "day in the field" office visit, which includes taking and passing the Smith Driving course online during that day. As part of the day in the field visit, employees will also engage in an informational meeting with the supervisor in the local office, as well as having a steward at this meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to share information with the employee about the position and work, as well as answer any questions they may have about the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Per the 2017 GSR agreement, the employee will be required to pass the GSR assessment, a day in the field, and have passed SASS.
FOR INTERNAL BIDDERS: ELIGIBITY RULES FOR JOB CLASSIFICATION � Under terms of the Clerical Lateral and Demotion Pilot and Clerical Bracketing Agreement � Eligibility for open positions will no longer be limited to employees in those job titles immediately below the job being offered. Instead, open positions will be offered to all employees below the position(s) currently being offered, based on their seniority date � All other provisions of the Clerical Bracketing Agreement continue to be in effect
FOR INTERNAL BIDDERS: Laterals � Qualified employees will be eligible for lateral opportunities based on seniority � In order to be eligible for a lateral transfer an employee must complete two (2) consecutive years in their current position. � An employee who accepts a lateral transfer will not be eligible to request a subsequent lateral transfer for two (2) years � Laterals will be defined as both title-to-title comparables, as well as similar wage rate time step schedules (For example, a Commercial Clerk 1 moving to an Operating Clerk 1 position would be considered a lateral, both titles are on the same wage rate time step schedule) � Interviews will still be utilized where applicable (e.g. GSR). Seniority will continue to be used to arrange interviews � Lateral transfers will no longer be limited to a change in geographic location. Employees will have an opportunity to voluntarily elect a lateral transfer from department to department
FOR INTERNAL BIDDERS: Demotions � All Clerical employees who have completed two (2) consecutive years of service in their current position will be eligible to elect a voluntary demotion � Employees electing to voluntarily demote will be ineligible for additional demotion opportunities for two (2) years
FOR INTERNAL BIDDERS: YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE IF: � Disability/Restricted Duty � Employees on disability or restricted duty must provide a medical release, within the posting period stating their return to regular duty within 14 calendar days. � SASS � Employees not previously grandfathered under the old CAB test must have successfully completed SASS testing for positions requiring such in order to be considered eligible.
