PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThis position is selection-based on ability through an interview assessment process, therefore, there will be no conference call for this posting. The Lead Crew Leader, Line Overhead Distribution promotes, encourages, and models ComEd's values to emphasize safety, efficiency, inclusivity, and innovation. Additionally, plans, directs, and coordinates activities associated with the construction, maintenance and operation of all overhead distribution facilities through the specific and general directions of management. Provides input into the planning, implementation and execution of system performance, facility relocation, capacity expansion, new business, and all other work associated with the construction and operation of the ComEd electrical system. As required, supervises Construction & Maintenance (C&M) and operations employees engaged in the operation, maintenance, and construction of company's distribution facilities and equipment. Possesses aptitude for ComEd's many existing and evolving digital and computer-based tools. Assigns work and coordinates resources in a manner that ensures the safe, efficient, economical, and timely completion of work with high regard for customer satisfaction. In addition to the requirements and duties listed, employees transferring or promoting to an Overhead Fiber Optic Work assignment as an LCL, will be required to successfully complete Overhead Fiber Optic Work training during a ninety (90) day training and qualifying period for determination as to whether or not the employee can meet the job requirements:�� To perform the task of proof testing fiber optic cable as�required To attend periodic refresher training to�maintain�fiber optic skills To conduct on the job training for employees assigned to Overhead Fiber Optic Work� ** ANYONE INTERESTED IN A LATERAL OR PROMOTION TO THIS POSITION ANYWHERE WITHIN THE COMED OVERHEAD TERRITORY SHOULD SUBMIT A BID **
