Role Overview
The Shift Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end floor operations at the Distribution Center (DC) during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth execution across inbound receiving, quality checks, inventory handling, picking, packing, staging, and dispatch operations. The role ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality order fulfillment while maintaining operational efficiency and service levels. The position plays a critical role in driving productivity, compliance, and seamless execution within a fast-paced environment handling fresh and perishable inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end floor operations during assigned shifts including inbound, quality checks, storage, picking, packing, staging, and dispatch operations; monitor operational timelines and ensure smooth shift execution.
- Oversee inbound receiving, inventory handling, and quality processes; ensure adherence to cold-chain, hygiene, and operational SOPs across all storage and staging areas.
- Drive timely picking, packing, and dispatch operations while ensuring order accuracy, packing quality, SLA adherence, and smooth coordination with last-mile teams.
- Lead and manage floor associates and operational staff; plan manpower allocation, monitor productivity, and drive operational discipline and workforce efficiency.
- Monitor inventory checks, shrinkage, wastage, and operational controls; identify and escalate inventory discrepancies and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards, safety protocols, FSSAI guidelines, and warehouse SOPs; maintain operational cleanliness and safety discipline across the floor.
- Prepare shift-end reports covering productivity, dispatch performance, wastage, manpower utilization, and operational KPIs; escalate critical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment center, or distribution center operations
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shift handling, floor management, or supervisory roles preferred
- Prior experience in quick commerce, e-commerce, grocery, food delivery, D2C, or fresh produce fulfillment environments preferred
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory handling, and dispatch management
- Hands-on experience with WMS/OMS systems and operational reporting tools
- Knowledge of hygiene standards, FSSAI guidelines, safety protocols, and warehouse SOPs
- Strong people management, problem-solving, and operational coordination skills
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for operational tracking and reporting
- Flexibility to work across rotational shifts and operational schedules based on business requirements
