The Opportunity
We are looking for an exceptional Executive Recruiter to join our India-based Talent Attraction team. This is a senior expert individual contributor role for a seasoned hiring professional with deep experience sourcing and closing leadership and highly specialized talent across APAC, with a particular focus on India, Australia, and Malaysia.
You will own the full-cycle executive hiring process for critical and senior roles — from Director to VP — partnering closely with business leaders, HRBPs, and TA leadership to shape and execute a talent strategy that supports Guidewire’s growth across key APAC markets.
What You Will Do
Executive Hiring and Talent Strategy
- Own end-to-end executive and senior hiring across APAC for Director, Senior Director, and VP roles across Product Development, Sales and Services, and Corporate Functions.
- Act as a strategic talent advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping role profiles, leveling decisions, and hiring strategies.
- Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill roles across technology, product, go-to-market, and professional services.
- Lead market intelligence efforts, providing insights on talent landscape, competitor activity, and compensation benchmarks across APAC.
Candidate Engagement and Experience
- Deliver a world-class candidate experience at every stage, ensuring senior candidates feel valued, informed, and engaged.
- Build and manage long-term relationships with passive executive talent using personal networks, LinkedIn, referrals, and executive search methodologies.
- Lead offer strategy and negotiations for senior and executive-level candidates in close partnership with Compensation, HRBPs, and Finance.
Stakeholder Partnership, Succession Planning, and Internal Mobility
- Partner with Hiring Managers and senior leaders as a trusted TA advisor, challenging briefs, aligning on talent strategy, and driving accountability throughout the process.
- Collaborate with HRBPs, People Partners, and Mobility to identify internal executive talent, support succession plans, and facilitate internal moves and promotions for critical roles.
- Proactively surface internal executive talent for key openings, ensuring internal slates are considered alongside external candidates.
- Collaborate with TA leadership on broader TA strategy, process improvements, and team capability building.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on executive hiring best practices, stakeholder management, and internal mobility considerations.
Data, Reporting, and Operational Excellence
- Maintain rigorous ATS hygiene and data integrity for all executive roles in Workday (or equivalent systems).
- Track and report on key executive hiring metrics, including pipeline health, time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates
- Continuously assess and improve sourcing channels, assessment approaches, and hiring processes for senior talent.
What We Are Looking For
Experience and Expertise
- 14+ years of progressive Talent Attraction experience with a strong focus in executive and senior-level hiring.
- Proven track record of successfully closing Director to VP-level roles in competitive technology or B2B software markets.
- In-house TA experience at a global technology or enterprise software company strongly preferred; executive search firms experience a strong plus.
- Deep expertise in APAC hiring markets (India, Australia, Southeast Asia)
- Experience managing multiple complex requisitions simultaneously across regions and functions.
- Experience working on executive succession planning and internal mobility initiatives is an advantage.
Skills and Capabilities
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging and influencing VP and C-level leaders.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business context into effective talent strategies.
- Advanced AI sourcing skills, talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and passive candidate engagement.
- Expert negotiation skills with experience structuring and closing complex executive compensation packages.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to use hiring metrics and market intelligence to influence decisions.
- Strong executive presence, communication, and presentation skills.
Tools and Systems
- Proficiency with ATS platforms (Workday Recruiting preferred) and CRM or sourcing tools.
- Familiarity with compensation benchmarking tools such as Radford, Mercer, or equivalent.
