Role Overview
The primary objective of this role is to drive the on-ground implementation and management of Internal Control Systems (ICS) for certified organic grower groups. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, conducting internal audits and inspections, and ensuring 100% compliance with organic certification standards such as NPOP, NOP, and EU Organic regulations.

Key Responsibilities
On-Ground Documentation & Data Management
Maintain comprehensive and updated documentation for all registered farmers, including Farmer Diaries, Farm History Sheets, and Land Maps.
Cover and manage documentation for 3 ICS clusters per month.
Perform timely data entry and updates in traceability platforms such as APEDA Tracenet.
Ensure all new farmers understand and sign membership agreements and pledge forms.
Maintain accurate records of crop yields, procurement, storage conditions, and purchase activities for audit traceability.
Manage records related to crop risk assessments, approved agricultural inputs, and seed sources.
Internal Auditing & Inspection
Conduct routine internal inspections and surprise farm visits to verify compliance with organic farming standards.
Accurately fill internal inspection checklists and identify non-conformities (NCs).
Support corrective action implementation for identified compliance gaps.
Assist ICS Managers and external third-party auditors during annual certification audits.
Ensure farmer groups comply with NPOP, NOP, and EU organic certification guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or a related field.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in organic agriculture, preferably in ICS documentation, certification, or farmer producer organizations (FPOs).
Experience with organic export companies or certification processes will be preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) and international organic certification standards.
Proficiency in local languages: Hindi (North India operations), Telugu (South India operations)
Basic computer literacy and documentation management skills.
Familiarity with traceability systems such as APEDA Tracenet is an advantage.
Strong communication, auditing, and farmer coordination skills.
Willingness to travel extensively across rural farming clusters and field locations.

Detail-oriented with strong documentation accuracy.
Comfortable working directly with farmers and rural communities.
Ability to manage multiple field clusters and meet compliance deadlines.
Passion for organic and sustainable agriculture practices.
