Executive / Senior Executive / Manager – Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)

Job Summary
The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Executive/Manager is responsible for identifying, negotiating, drafting, executing, and managing Power Purchase Agreements for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and hybrid projects. The role requires close coordination with developers, power consumers, legal teams, regulatory authorities, and transmission utilities to ensure successful commercial closure and long-term compliance.
Key Responsibilities
· Power Purchase & Business Development
· Identify potential Commercial & Industrial (C&I), captive, and third-party power consumers.
· Develop and execute strategies to secure long-term and short-term PPAs.
· Build relationships with corporate customers, DISCOMs, traders, and power exchanges.
· Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities in renewable energy procurement.
· Lead negotiations on commercial terms, tariffs, tenure, scheduling, and payment security mechanisms.
· Coordinate with legal teams for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing PPAs and related agreements.
· Ensure contractual terms align with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
· Facilitate contract execution and maintain documentation.
· Monitor Open Access regulations, Green Energy Open Access Rules, Electricity Act provisions, and State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) regulations.
· Support applications related to Open Access approvals and energy scheduling.
· Evaluate tariff structures, project economics, and financial viability.
· Prepare commercial proposals, pricing models, and business cases.
· Analyze market trends, REC markets, Green Attribute markets, and power exchange prices.
· Support revenue forecasting and financial risk assessments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA (Power Management, Energy Management, Marketing, or Finance) is preferred.
Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of renewable energy PPAs and Open Access regulations.
· Understanding of Electricity Act, CERC/SERC regulations, and Green Energy Open Access.
· Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
· Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/CRM systems.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

This role is critical in maximizing revenue from renewable energy assets by securing commercially viable, legally compliant, and long-term power offtake agreements while supporting the company's growth in the renewable energy sector.
