Role Overview
The Last Mile Executive will support end-to-end last-mile delivery operations from the Distribution Centre (DC), ensuring timely and efficient order dispatch and delivery coordination. The role focuses on managing rider allocation, monitoring deliveries, coordinating with warehouse and customer support teams, and ensuring smooth execution of daily delivery operations. The position plays a critical role in maintaining delivery timelines, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction within a fast-paced D2C environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily last-mile dispatch operations and ensure timely order allocation, dispatch readiness, and smooth coordination with warehouse teams for order handovers.
- Coordinate with delivery executives, gig riders, and 3PL partners to ensure rider availability, smooth delivery execution, and effective shift-wise manpower management.
- Monitor real-time delivery operations, track delayed or failed orders, and coordinate with customer support teams to resolve delivery-related issues and escalations.
- Assist in route planning, rider allocation, and delivery tracking to improve operational efficiency, reduce delays, and enhance rider productivity.
- Ensure proper handling of fresh produce, adherence to hygiene standards, and compliance with operational SOPs during dispatch and delivery coordination.
- Maintain dispatch records, rider logs, and operational trackers; prepare reports on delivery performance, rider productivity, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and operational escalations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, dispatch, or warehouse operations
- Prior experience in D2C, e-commerce, grocery, or hyperlocal delivery operations preferred
- Basic understanding of dispatch operations, rider allocation, and delivery management processes
- Familiarity with delivery management systems and operational tracking tools
- Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for operational reporting and tracking
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced and high-volume operational environments
- Flexibility to work across rotational shifts and operational schedules based on business requirements
