Nala Hotel Namakkal, a prominent independent hotel proudly affiliated with the Radisson Individuals collection, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping operations. Located in the heart of Namakkal, our property offers comfortable accommodations, excellent dining, spacious banquet and marriage halls (capacity up to 1000+ guests), and a reputation for warm hospitality with scenic views of nearby Kolli Hills.
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Housekeeper based in Namakkal. The Executive Housekeeper will oversee housekeeping operations, including managing the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas. The role involves supervising the housekeeping team, coordinating schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, managing inventory, and overseeing laundry services. Additionally, the Executive Housekeeper will ensure exceptional service delivery and support employee training to meet operational standards.
The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for:
- Overall operations of the Housekeeping department, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and upkeep across guest rooms, public areas, and banquet halls, in line with company and brand standards.
- Conducting regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and event spaces to ensure quality standards and presentation are consistently maintained.
- Managing housekeeping operating expenses efficiently while maintaining excellent guest service levels.
- Monitoring consumption of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment, and ensuring timely procurement and replenishment.
- Coordinating maintenance work orders and organize pest control activities to maintain hygiene and operational standards.
- Ensuring all guest rooms comply with required quality standards and are ready for guest arrival at all times.
- Supervising housekeeping staff, allocate duties, and ensuring adequate staffing for guest rooms, public areas, and banquet events.
- Identifying staff training needs, developing training plans, and conducting regular training programs to improve performance and service standards.
- Ensuring staff maintain professional conduct, grooming standards, and proper hygiene practices at all times.
- Staying updated on new housekeeping techniques, equipment, and materials that can improve efficiency and reduce costs.
The ideal candidate should:
- Possess a Diploma in Housekeeping from a recognized Hotel School with 6 years’ executive level experience in a star class Hotel or possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in Housekeeping operations in which a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience with international brand standards (Radisson, IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Accor etc.) is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Tamil; knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.
