Executive Chef
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu planning, food quality, kitchen staff management, cost control, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards for a cafeteria in GIFT City Gandhinagar . The role ensures smooth kitchen functioning while delivering high-quality food and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop menus according to customer preferences and business requirements.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor food inventory, ordering, and stock control.
- Control food cost, wastage, and kitchen expenses.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with restaurant management for special events and promotions.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper usage.
- Handle customer feedback related to food quality and service.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef.
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in kitchen operations, including managerial experience.
Salary
- As per industry standards and experience.
