Job details:
To supervise and control all IMFL store operations, including receipt, storage, inventory management, stock issuance, dispatch coordination, and statutory compliance, ensuring accurate inventory records, proper material handling, and uninterrupted production and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Store Management
- Supervise the receipt, storage, and issue of IMFL finished goods and packaging materials.
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, and preservation of materials as per FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/SAP and physical registers.
- Monitor daily stock movement and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Investigate and report stock shortages, excesses, and damages.
Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate inward and outward movement of finished goods.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Verify dispatch quantities against invoices and gate passes.
- Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping and storage practices.
- Ensure optimum utilization of warehouse space.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain GRN, Material Issue Slips, Stock Transfer Notes, Delivery Challans, and Dispatch Registers.
- Ensure compliance with Excise regulations and statutory documentation.
- Support internal, external, Excise, and customer audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for traceability.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Purchase, Dispatch, Transporters, and Excise departments.
- Ensure timely availability of finished goods for dispatch.
- Communicate inventory shortages to the concerned departments.
Team Management
- Supervise store assistants, forklift operators, and contract labour.
- Allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to SOPs.
Safety
- Ensure safe storage of IMFL products.
- Follow fire safety requirements and emergency procedures.
- Ensure use of PPE and compliance with warehouse safety practices.
- Maintain 5S standards in the warehouse.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Diploma in Material Management or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in warehouse/store operations in an IMFL, Distillery, Brewery, FMCG, or Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience with ERP/SAP inventory management is preferred.
