Job Title: Executive - Accounts & Billing

Role Overview
The Executive – Accounts & Billing is responsible for executing day-to-day accounting and billing operations of the company. The role involves accurate recording of financial transactions, maintaining financial documentation, processing billing entries, supporting reconciliations, and coordinating with billing and cross-functional teams. The incumbent ensures data accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to internal controls, healthcare billing standards, and statutory compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
∙ Record daily financial transactions accurately in accounting/HIS systems
∙ Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records
∙ Handle petty cash management and expense tracking
∙ Verify invoices, bills, and supporting documents
∙ Support bank reconciliation and basic accounting entries
∙ Maintain financial files and documentation systematically
∙ Conduct ledger reconciliations on regular intervals
2. Billing Support
∙ Assist & coordinate in patient billing (IPD/OPD) under supervision
∙ Enter and ensure accuracy of billing data in HIMS/MIS/HIS systems
∙ Support in resolving billing discrepancies
∙ Maintain billing documentation and records on daily basis
∙ Coordinate with departments for billing inputs (lab, pharmacy, wards, etc.)
∙ Handle cash, receipts, and daily collections posting
∙ Assist in invoice generation and updating inpatient billing records
3. Payables & Receivables
∙ Support accounts payable and receivable processes
∙ Track outstanding payments and follow up when required
∙ Assist in vendor invoice processing and payment preparation
∙ Maintain records, invoices, and patient files accurately
4. Compliance & Reporting
∙ Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance tasks
∙ Support preparation of MIS reports and financial summaries
∙ Maintain proper documentation for audits
∙ Assist during internal and external audits
∙ Follow established SOPs and internal controls for all financial activities
5. Other Responsibilities
∙ Support senior finance team members in day-to-day operations
∙ Maintain financial files and documentation in a systematic manner
∙ Perform any additional tasks assigned by management
Key Skills & Competencies
∙ Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
∙ Familiarity with hospital billing systems (HIMS/MIS) – preferred
∙ Understanding of healthcare billing processes (IPD/OPD)
∙ Basic knowledge of statutory compliance (GST, TDS)
∙ Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
∙ Good communication and coordination skills
∙ Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
∙ Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
Qualifications & Experience
∙ Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (B. Com / BBA Finance) ∙ 0–2 years of experience; freshers with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply ∙ Basic proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Zoho or similar apps) and MS Excel ∙ Prior exposure to hospital finance or healthcare billing is an added advantage
