Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai for an Executive – Logistics & Export Documentation. The role involves managing export documentation processes, supporting international trade and logistics activities, and ensuring seamless import-export operations. The Executive will collaborate with sales and logistics teams to ensure compliance with trade regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate with clients and partners globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order booking and coordination with buyers/merchandising team
- Preparation of export invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents
- Handling export formalities — shipping bills, customs clearance, CHA coordination
- Managing Advance License (AA) formalities — application, monitoring, redemption
- Handling IGCR (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate) compliance and monthly filings via ICEGATE
- Maintaining MIS reports and trackers in MS Excel
Required Skills:
- Prior experience in a garment export company (mandatory)
- Hands-on knowledge of Advance Authorization / IGCR schemes
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred)
- Knowledge of DGFT, Customs, and export documentation
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Export Documentation and Import-Export processes.
- Strong knowledge of Export, International Trade, and related procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with global trade compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in logistics, trade, or export documentation will be an advantage.
