Parts and Inventory Coordinator

Evolve Transporters is a high-end custom fabrication company with locations in greater Indianapolis Indiana and Cleveland Ohio. This position reports to: Parts & Inventory Manager

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:

As a Parts and Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the inventory of parts and supplies necessary for our operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about inventory management and logistics.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and supplies.
  • Accurately record inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes and place orders.
  • Develop and maintain BOM’s, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain optimal parts and equipment stocking levels with direction from your manager, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items or potential shortages
  • Ensure that parts are correctly labeled, stored, and organized for easy retrieval.
  • Conduct inventory audits and evaluate results against the inventory management system to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Receive, store, and issue tools and equipment to authorized personnel with professionalism.
  • Prepare and ship parts orders as required, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Plan and delegate tasks to supporting team members.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to meet their parts and inventory needs.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in safety training and follow best practices to maintain a safe work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in both office and shop settings.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school or equivalent completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and general computer skills.
  • Experience in inventory management, parts handling, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience inventory management software (Sage preferred) is a plus.
  • Some college coursework or technical training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
