In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable. The hours for this position are M-F 9am-3pm and alternating weekends 10a-6pm; minimum of 30 hours per week. There is potential for additional hours with other consumers if interested.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Responsibilities </strong></div><ul> <li>Providing companionship and conversation</li> <li>Assist with life skills</li> <li>Assist with personal hygiene needs and ADLs</li> <li>Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises</li> <li>Prepare meals and snacks</li> <li>Light housekeeping activities</li> <li>Dispense medication</li> <li>Assist with errands and shopping</li> <li>Educating family members on safe care techniques </li> </ul><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul> <li>Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role.</li> <li>First aid and CPR-certified</li> <li>Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills</li> <li>Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to lift heavy objects</li> <li>Tolerant of small pets</li> <li>Compassionate, respectful, ethical</li> </ul> </div>
