| JOB SUMMARY |
|
The AP Specialist performs a variety of clerical duties related to the maintenance/processing of accounting records--primarily accounts payable. Included in the job is extensive data entry in preparation of bill payments.

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- A working knowledge of accounting at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience; and
- Three (3) years’ experience in Accounts Payable in a for profit company.
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and complete projects in a timely manner.
- Intermediate knowledge and skills in the use of Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal employees and external vendors.
- Accurate punctuation, spelling, and grammar. Must maintain confidentiality.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Responsible for all accounting work necessary to ensure accounts payable are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure invoices are coded to the correct general ledger codes.
- Prepare and process weekly payments (checks, wires, ACH, and Credit cards). Maintain vendor records.
- Review and audit expense reports.
- Handle employee matters as they relate to accounting for corporate card purchases.
- Responsible for Use Tax recording of payments.
- Work to drive process improvements in other accounting operation functions as assigned.
- Ability to collaborate with Operations.
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

- Wage range: $25 - $30 hourly.
