Job Description:

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Technical QA Engineer with a balanced background in both manual and automation testing to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. This role requires a hands-on QA professional who can design, execute, and validate test cases manually, while also building and maintaining automation frameworks using Python. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality across the SDLC by combining strong functional testing expertise with modern automation practices in an agile environment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex applications
  • Perform hands-on manual testing including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and API testing
  • Validate business requirements and user workflows through detailed manual test execution
  • Identify, document, track, and resolve defects using tools like JIRA
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks using Python
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems
  • Convert manually validated test cases into automated regression suites
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
  • Drive improvements in QA processes, tools, test coverage, and automation practices
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and quality discussions
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across both manual and automation testing
Qualifications:

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in software testing and QA engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience in both manual testing and test automation
  • Proven experience designing, executing, and validating manual test cases
  • Strong hands-on experience in automation testing using Python
  • Experience transitioning manual test scenarios into automated test coverage
  • Experience with API testing (Postman, REST APIs, or similar tools)
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC processes
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Playwright for modern UI test automation
  • Experience with PyTest framework
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Domain experience in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences
  • Knowledge of data validation or ETL testing
  • Experience owning testing activities end-to-end across both manual and automation QA processes
