About the Role:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Pre-Apprentice Lineman. This position is designed to prepare you for entry into the Apprentice Lineman Program, where you will gain the skills and technical knowledge needed to perform all aspects of line work safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and practice the fundamentals of line work under the guidance of experienced Journeyman Lineman.
  • Use and maintain ropes, lines, and tools required for line work.
  • Perform ground work such as digging holes, setting poles, installing anchors, and handling materials and equipment.
  • Assist with framing poles and assembling/disassembling components including conductors, transformers, switches, cutouts, lightning arrestors, capacitors, and streetlights.
  • Support safe and efficient operations in all assigned tasks.
     

Education:  High School or equivalent

Testing: Test Physical Agility Test

General: Must be mechanically inclined and capable of absorbing training necessary for qualification in higher job classification. Must be D.O.T. certified to drive as required by law. Pre-Apprentices will be required to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) at their earliest opportunity. The CDL must be obtained prior to completion of the hot qualified portion of the Apprenticeship Program.
