Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration of our Information Security application portfolio to cloud-native and cloud-hosted architectures. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role requiring deep familiarity with both cybersecurity tooling and cloud platforms. The senior Project manager will own the strategy, planning, and execution of migrating critical InfoSec applications spanning SIEM, SOAR, IAM/PAM, vulnerability management, EDR/XDR, DLP, and PKI from on-premises or legacy environments to modern, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the full cloud migration program lifecycle for InfoSec applications : discovery, dependency mapping, cloud readiness assessments, sequencing, cutover planning, and post-migration validation.
- Lead the migration of core security platforms, including but not limited to :
- SIEM (e.g., on-prem Splunk or QRadar to Microsoft Sentinel, Google Chronicle, or Splunk Cloud).
- SOAR (e.g., Phantom/Demisto to cloud-hosted Palo Alto XSOAR, Sentinel Playbooks, or Chronicle SOAR).
- IAM/PAM (e.g., on-prem Active Directory, CyberArk to Entra ID, Okta, or cloud-native PAM).
- Vulnerability Management (e.g., on-prem Qualys/Tenable to SaaS/cloud-native Tenable.io, Qualys Cloud, Wiz, or Prisma Cloud).
- EDR/XDR (e.g., legacy AV or on-prem EDR to CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender XDR, or SentinelOne cloud console).
- DLP (e.g., Symantec DLP to Microsoft Purview, Netskope, or cloud-native CASB/DLP).
- PKI & Certificate Management (e.g., on-prem CA to cloud-hosted DigiCert, Venafi, or AWS/Azure-native PKI).
- Threat Intelligence Platforms (e.g., on-prem TIP to Recorded Future SaaS, OpenCTI cloud, or MISP cloud).
- Partner with Security Architects, Cloud Platform Engineering, and Compliance to align on cloud landing zone requirements, data residency constraints, and security control equivalency.
- Ensure no gaps in security control coverage during transition maintain parallel-run periods, validate logging continuity, alert fidelity, and detection coverage throughout each cutover.
- Drive cloud cost modeling and FinOps alignment for migrated security workloads in partnership with Cloud/Finance teams.
- Own vendor and SaaS provider relationships, managing contract transitions, license portability, and professional services engagements tied to cloud migrations.
- Ensure all migrations meet regulatory and compliance requirements : SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, FedRAMP (where applicable), GDPR/data residency constraints, and cloud security benchmarks (CIS, CSA CCM).
- Build and maintain rollback procedures, cloud runbooks, and disaster recovery plans for each migrated application.
- Lead change management : coordinate retraining for SOC analysts, IR teams, and IT Security staff on cloud-native tool interfaces and workflows.
Requirements
- 7+ years of program or project management experience, with at least 3 years leading cloud migration programs for enterprise applications.
- Deep familiarity with the Information Security tooling landscape hands-on knowledge of at least 3-4 of the application categories above (SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM, VM, DLP).
- Demonstrated experience migrating on-premises security tools to SaaS or cloud-hosted equivalents, including managing data migration (log history, threat intel feeds, policy configs, playbooks).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP including IAM models, networking (VPCs, private endpoints), logging pipelines (S3, Log Analytics, BigQuery), and cloud-native security services.
- Familiarity with zero trust architecture principles and how cloud migration accelerates ZTA adoption.
- Experience managing multi-vendor SaaS transitions : license negotiations, API integrations, SSO/SCIM onboarding, and SIEM connector reconfiguration.
- Strong command of program management frameworks (PMI, SAFe, or equivalent); PMP or similar certification a plus.
- Excellent communication skills able to translate cloud architecture complexity into clear executive narratives and into actionable engineering requirements.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks with cloud-specific dimensions : FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, CSA STAR, and data residency requirements.
Nice To Have
- Direct experience with specific SIEM-to-cloud migrations (e.g., Splunk Enterprise to Sentinel or Chronicle, QRadar to Sentinel).
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools : Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Defender for Cloud.
- Experience integrating cloud-native logging (CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, GCP Cloud Logging) into migrated SIEM platforms.
- Cloud certifications : AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
- CISSP, CISM, or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional).
