Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Events & Sales Manager to lead and grow the events business, primarily for Out of the Blue and for our Banquet. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry expertise, an established professional network within Mumbai’s events ecosystem, and the ability to conceptualize distinctive event formats and experiences. This role requires a commercially driven professional capable of developing new business opportunities, creating event IPs, and delivering exceptional guest experiences while strengthening the venue’s presence in Mumbai’s events and experiential dining space.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Sales and Business Development
Drive event and banquet sales including corporate gatherings, private celebrations, brand launches, and curated dining experiences.
Identify new opportunities and partnerships to grow the events portfolio and achieve revenue targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, agencies, and private clientele across Mumbai.
Event Conceptualization and Experience Development
Develop and introduce unique event IPs and recurring experiences that enhance the positioning of Out of the Blue as a sought-after venue for events and social gatherings.
Collaborate with internal teams to curate innovative event concepts aligned with the brand’s identity and guest expectations.
Event Planning and Execution
Oversee the planning and coordination of events from initial inquiry through successful execution.
Ensure seamless communication between sales, operations, culinary, and service teams to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Maintain high standards of hospitality, service delivery, and guest satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event lifecycle.
Prepare and present tailored event proposals, packages, and pricing aligned with client requirements.
Foster long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in event sales, event management, or banquet sales within the hospitality or events industry.
Strong event planning and event management skills with the ability to organize and execute successful events from concept to completion.
Proven sales experience and the ability to drive revenue growth through client engagement and business development.
Experience in managing private events and crafting memorable guest experiences.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure seamless execution under tight timelines.
A degree in Hospitality Management, Events, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in the hospitality or events industry and a strong network within the Mumbai events ecosystem will be considered an advantage.
