Job Description: Event Sales & Catering SpecialistCompany: Knight Gourmet
Location: Delhi NCR (with travel as required)
Experience: 3–6 years in catering / events / hospitality sales
Role OverviewKnight Gourmet is looking for a driven Event Sales & Catering Specialist who can convert leads into high-value business while ensuring seamless alignment between client expectations and execution teams.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, menu curation, and client servicing, and is key to driving revenue growth across corporate events, social functions, and large-format productions.
Key Responsibilities1. Revenue Generation & Client Acquisition
- Drive end-to-end sales for catering and event F&B opportunities
- Generate leads through corporate outreach, event planners, venues, and references
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of ₹25L–₹5Cr event opportunities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
2. Client Consultation & Deal Closure
- Understand client requirements (budget, audience, format, cuisine preferences)
- Pitch curated food experiences aligned with event theme and scale
- Lead negotiations on pricing, scope, and commercial terms
- Close deals with a focus on profitability and cash flow discipline
3. Menu Curation & Proposal Development
- Work with culinary and operations teams to design customized menus
- Prepare structured proposals, costing sheets, and presentations
- Ensure proposals are competitive, well-formatted, and quick to turnaround
4. Coordination with Operations
- Handover confirmed projects with clear briefs and expectations
- Align on execution feasibility, costing, and timelines
- Stay involved for key events to ensure client satisfaction
5. Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with corporates, wedding planners, agencies, and venues
- Drive repeat business and referrals
- Act as the face of Knight Gourmet for key clients
Key Skills & Competencies- Strong understanding of event catering formats (buffet, packed meals, live counters, VIP hospitality)
- Commercial acumen (costing, margins, negotiation)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure, large-scale event requirements
- Fast turnaround mindset (quotes within hours, not days)
KPIs / Success Metrics- Monthly revenue closures
- Gross margin per event
- Conversion ratio (lead → closure)
- Proposal turnaround time
- Repeat client business
