Role :
Event Operations Executive is a full-time, On-site based in Chennai.
He will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational execution of events.
This role coordinates venues, vendors, permissions, and logistics, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met for corporate, institutional, and government events.
The Event Operations Manager will manage stage setup, branding, AV and lighting, showflow, backstage operations, and crowd management, while safeguarding safety and protocol compliance.
Day-to-day activities include briefing and aligning internal teams, supervising event setup and teardown, troubleshooting on-site issues, and maintaining clear communication with clients and partners.
The role also involves tracking expenses, preparing post-event reports, and contributing to continuous improvement of operations processes.
Deciding Factors :
- Strong operations management skills, including planning, prioritization, and coordination across multiple events and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in event planning and on-site execution, covering venue selection, vendor management, logistics, and showflow control.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to manage client expectations, liaise with partners, and lead on-ground teams.
- Solid budgeting and cost-control capabilities, with experience in estimates, tracking expenses, and optimizing resources.
- Experience in corporate, institutional, or government events is highly beneficial, especially within the Chennai market.
- Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedules around event dates, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Comfort with basic project management tools and documentation; familiarity with safety, protocol, and risk management practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in events operations.
- Hindi speaking skill will be an added advantage
