Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Event Manager role based at The Indus Club in Mumbai. The Event Manager will plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of member-focused events, including business conferences, networking sessions, private gatherings, and lifestyle experiences. Daily responsibilities include liaising with members and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, designing event concepts and schedules, and managing end-to-end logistics such as venue setup, vendor coordination, catering, audio-visual arrangements, and staff allocations. The role involves overseeing event budgets, timelines, and quality standards, as well as handling day-of-event operations to ensure a seamless experience for members and guests. The Event Manager will also track event feedback, maintain event calendars and reports, and collaborate with marketing and operations teams to continuously enhance the club’s event offerings.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in event planning, on-ground event execution, and vendor coordination within hospitality, clubs, hotels, or corporate events.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, member or client servicing, and relationship building with high-profile guests and partners.
- Ability to manage event budgets, timelines, and resources, with solid organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Proficiency in using basic office and event management tools (e.g., MS Office, event check-in or CRM systems) and familiarity with AV and technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional local language proficiency is an advantage.
- Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure during live events.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event calendar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications or training are a plus.
- Prior experience working in a members’ club, luxury hospitality, or premium lifestyle environment is highly desirable.
