Role Description The Event Manager at Shayararia will plan, coordinate, and execute literary and cultural events, including poetry gatherings, storytelling sessions, spoken-word performances, and community collaborations. This full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India involves managing event concepts, budgets, timelines, and logistics, as well as overseeing venue arrangements, technical requirements, and on-the-day operations. The Event Manager will work closely with creators, performers, partners, and internal teams to curate engaging programs and ensure a high-quality audience experience. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, managing promotional activities, tracking registrations and attendance, and collecting feedback to improve future events. The role also includes maintaining event documentation, ensuring brand consistency, and supporting digital content initiatives related to events.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning and coordination, including managing timelines, budgets, and logistics for small to medium-scale cultural or creative events.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with artists, performers, partners, vendors, and audience members.
- Ability to work on-site in Delhi, India, with flexibility for evening or weekend events when required.
- Interest in poetry, storytelling, spoken word, or literary culture, with an understanding of audience engagement in creative communities.
- Proficiency in basic office and productivity tools; experience with event management software or social media promotion is an advantage.
- Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to remain calm and resourceful during live events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Arts, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
