Role Description -
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Event Manager, located in the Kolkata metropolitan area.
The Senior Event Manager will be responsible for planning, designing, organizing, and overseeing
events from conception to completion, developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve
business objectives.
Day-to-day tasks involve meetings with clients, managing team, overseeing budgets with their P&L,
liaising with vendors, and ensuring events are executed flawlessly. Exploring new marketing
technologies, platforms, and strategies to stay ahead of the competition. The role also includes
marketing events, managing team, and evaluating event success post-completion.
Specific responsibilities often include:
Generating new business: Identifying potential clients and developing strategies to acquire new
business.
Managing existing client relationships: Building and nurturing relationships with existing clients to
ensure their continued satisfaction and loyalty.
Meeting deadlines and budgets: Ensuring that events are executed within the specified timeline and
budget constraints.
Vendor coordination: Sourcing and managing relationships with vendors, such as caterers,
decorators, and entertainment providers.
Qualifications & Skills -
Event planning and strong communication skills
Budget management and logistical planning experience
Vendor management and negotiation skills
Marketing, advertising, and promotional skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or elated field
