Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Kothrud, Pune for an Event Business Development Executive. In this role, you will focus on engaging clients, understanding their event needs, and offering tailored solutions by connecting them with the best service providers. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and providing expert insights on event planning and management services. Your daily activities will include client consultations, preparing compelling sales pitches, following up on leads, and collaborating with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Sales
Identify and connect with potential clients for weddings, social events, and corporate events
Convert leads and inquiries into confirmed event bookings
Conduct client meetings to understand requirements, budgets, and event vision
Present event concepts, proposals, and cost estimates
Build strong relationships with venues, vendors, and industry partners
Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the sales process
Ensure a smooth handover to the event execution team once the event is confirmed
Achieve monthly sales targets by securing event bookings
Focus on acquiring events with a minimum event budget as defined by the company
Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline tracking
Identify new opportunities in the wedding and event industry
Participate in networking events, venue visits, and industry collaborations
Work closely with marketing teams to convert campaigns into leads
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Customer Service and Communication to build and maintain client relationships effectively
- Experience in Event Management and Event Planning, with the ability to transform client needs into seamless event experiences
- Sales skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales-related software is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently in a fast-paced setting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or relevant experience in a related field is preferred
