Role Objective :
- Deliver accurate, consistent vehicle condition evaluations at each touchpoint to support transparent pricing, sales and after‑sales decisions.
- Ensure every intake evaluation follows the standardized checklist and is uploaded to Skyline promptly for auditability.
- Contribute to dealer performance by improving evaluation quality and turnaround times, helping meet monthly evaluation targets that tie into margin incentives.
- Flag mechanical, cosmetic or documentation issues and recommend repair or reconditioning needs to protect brand value and customer trust.
Reporting to: Lead POC
Visual & Exterior Inspection
- Receive vehicles at intake; verify ownership, service history and documentation (registration, insurance, service records)
- Ensure all paperwork is complete before inspection and record any missing documents.
- Create intake record in Skyline and attach preliminary notes.
Mechanical & Functional Inspection
- Inspect engine bay for leaks, mounts, belts, fluids and obvious faults.
- Test drive to assess engine performance, transmission shifts, braking, steering, suspension and NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)
- Check HVAC, electrical systems, battery condition and onboard electronics.
Interior & Comfort Systems
- Inspect upholstery, seats, carpets, headliner, trim and interior lighting for wear or damage.
- Test infotainment, navigation, instrument cluster, HVAC controls, seat adjustments and memory functions.
- Verify presence and function of safety features (airbags, seatbelts, cameras, sensors).
Intake and Documentation:
- Receive vehicles at intake; verify ownership, service history and documentation (registration, insurance, service records)
- Ensure all paperwork is complete before inspection and record any missing documents.
- Create intake record in Skyline and attach preliminary notes.
Coordination & Communication
- Communicate findings to Sales, After‑Sales, Reconditioning and Finance teams.
- Hand-off vehicles needing reconditioning with clear work scope and priority.
- Discuss major issues with Lead POC or Management for disposition decisions.
- Explain vehicle condition to customers transparently and professionally when required.
- Address basic buyer queries about inspection results; escalate technical concerns.
KPIs & Performance Focus
- Monthly compliance: 100% checklist completion and Skyline upload for all evaluations.
- Track and share: evaluations completed (daily/weekly/monthly), % of monthly target achieved, checklist & upload compliance %, average turnaround time, number of rejections/quality issues.
Requirements
Qualification Requirement:
Graduate or Post graduate degree / diploma. Vocational/technical certificate in automotive technology preferred.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive industry preferably in a luxury vehicle dealership. Experience in automotive inspection, used‑car evaluation, dealership operations or equivalent; experience with premium brands (Mercedes‑Benz or Daimler) is a plus.
Skill set Requirement:
- Good communication and Customer handling abilities. Customer‑facing confidence when explaining vehicle condition in a transparent, professional manner.
- Solid understanding of vehicle systems, basic diagnostics, and valuation principles for pre‑owned vehicles.
- Strong vehicle inspection skills across mechanical, electrical and bodywork areas
- Ability to identify hidden damage, wear patterns and potential safety issues.
- Detail‑oriented, reliable and time‑conscious with strong integrity
- Comfortable with digital record‑keeping; basic proficiency in common dealership systems.
