About the role

Position Overview – Associate, Office of the President (New York) We are currently seeking an experienced Associate in the Office of the President to support the team on high-level government meetings and broader relationship management. The ideal candidate has an understanding of the international relations landscape, a proven track record of relationship management, and knowledge of diplomatic protocol and the government sector. This role is based in Eurasia Group's New York office. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate the principal's participation in policymaker meetings, diplomatic events, and global convenings, including assisting with scheduling, invitations, meeting notes, and follow-up communications Prepare detailed, well-researched meeting notes and backgrounders for policy-related engagements Maintain, update, and organize comprehensive trackers Monitor and analyze international developments and political personnel changes; provide timely alerts, briefs, and recommended next steps for managing and expanding network Demonstrate a strong awareness of global political and diplomatic trends, continuously building expertise in various international political systems. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant materials for high-impact meetings Support the broader Office of the President as needed; contribute to special projects and operational initiatives Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in political science, international relations, or a related field Demonstrated interest and academic experience in global government affairs and diplomacy Exceptional organizational and relationship management abilities, with acute attention to detail and follow-through Experience with event planning and execution (academic, professional, or extracurricular) Knowledge across global political systems, with a keen interest in monitoring daily world news Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong research and synthesis abilities with efficient organizational skills that allow for delivery of high-quality work on deadline High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team that's constantly adapting to evolving priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, and an ability to quickly learn new digital tools and databases Familiarity and ease working with the diplomatic community as well as across multiple geographies and time zones Foreign language proficiency is a plus
