Job Description
The EUC Citrix Operations Engineer provides advanced operational support for Citrix environments, focusing on complex troubleshooting, performance optimization, and incident resolution. This role requires deeper technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to address escalated issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues in Citrix environments (XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler).
- Analyze system performance and implement optimizations for reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers and other IT teams to resolve escalated incidents.
- Assist with deployment and configuration of Citrix solutions to meet business requirements.
- Maintain and support thin client devices and ensure seamless integration.
- Utilize DEX monitoring tools (e.g., Nexthink, Stratusphere) for detailed analysis of end-user experience and system health.
- Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base articles.
- Perform regular maintenance and patching of XenApp Windows Service Gold Images, ensuring images are up-to-date and compliant with security standards.
- Maintain and patch XenDesktop Windows Gold Images, coordinating updates to minimize user disruption and maximize environment stability.
- Monitor and enforce high vulnerability patching remediation compliance, ensuring all Citrix environments meet or exceed defined SLA targets for vulnerability remediation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Citrix operations or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with DEX monitoring tools and thin client support.
Preferred
- Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) or Citrix Certified Professional (CCP).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of networking and security best practices.
