The Role
The EUC Manager – MDM and Endpoint Security is responsible for defining and delivering the lifecycle roadmap for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and related endpoint services, ensuring alignment with the British Council’s Digital Engagement Strategy and business needs. The role oversees the full service lifecycle—from implementation and ongoing delivery to continuous improvement and eventual retirement—while managing day-to-day service operations through a combination of internal Digital & Technology teams and external suppliers.
As part of the Digital and Technology Directorate, the role supports the delivery of secure, scalable, and efficient workplace technology services. Working within the Operations division, the EUC Manager ensures reliable endpoint management, security, and modern workplace capabilities, leveraging ITIL-based service management practices and supplier partnerships to maintain service performance, drive continuous improvement, and support the transition of new technologies into live operations.
Main responsibilities
The EUC Manager – MDM and Endpoint Security is responsible for defining the strategy, roadmap, governance, and sourcing approach for Mobile Device Management services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. The role owns service policies, standards, service portfolio content, and stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for senior business and technology stakeholders. It also oversees service budgets, supplier management, commercial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with organizational priorities.
The role has end-to-end accountability for service performance, reliability, risk management, and operational governance across the service lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing SLAs and OLAs, maintaining service catalogues, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards such as ISO 27001, overseeing change management activities, supporting major incident and crisis response, and driving service improvements through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. The position also provides strategic guidance on service delivery, risk controls, business impact assessments, and organizational change to ensure secure, resilient, and high-performing endpoint services.
