The HR Generalist – Remote Proctoring plays a key role in supporting ETS’s remote proctoring initiatives while also developing and executing HR activities to align with the division's strategic objectives.

This role is responsible for collaborating with divisional leaders to define organizational capabilities that drive business results, with a particular focus on enhancing remote proctoring operations.

The HR Generalist will work closely with global and local HR shared services to ensure alignment address specific needs within the group, including recruitment, training & development, performance management, employee relations, compliance and day-to-day HR operations.

By partnering with all levels of management and employees, the HR Business Partner will support the division’s business goals and promote a culture of efficiency and compliance in remote proctoring operations.

  • Advise and influence business leaders on employee engagement & retention, effective onboarding, performance criteria and measurement, managerial capabilities, succession planning, and change management, with a specific focus on supporting the remote proctoring function and addressing the unique challenges of a remote workforce, in support of achieving the divisional objectives as part of ETS’s mission overall.
  • Provide overall HR support to the organization, with a heavy emphasis on employee relations, onboarding and scaling the organization, ensuring alignment and consistency with other business entities in India and in line with the global HR strategy.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries & concerns, mediate conflicts & provide guidance on employee relations issues, and conduct investigations and resolve workplace disputes with a strong focus on timely and effective resolution.
  • In partnership with Talent Acquisition, develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for remote proctoring roles; coordinate job postings, review resumes, conduct interviews where appropriate; and facilitate the hiring process from job posting through onboarding. Partner to enhance employer branding
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Foster organizational effectiveness through analytics, establishing and tracking metrics, KPIs, and automation that drive business decision support.
  • Active engagement as a member of the global HR team as well as India team, as well as the on-the-ground business team. Partner with and provide input to Corporate HR on compensation/benefits and HRIS shared services
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources roles, with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a global leadership role managing HR functions across multiple geographies
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations, with a specific focus on India’s employment laws, including the Industrial Disputes Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Shops and Establishment Act, and other statutory compliances applicable to the business unit’s region
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultural contexts
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and resolve complex HR issues efficiently
  • A deep understanding of the business and its operational landscape to effectively address challenges and facilitate smooth, compliant HR processes aligned with organizational goals
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), particularly systems commonly used in India, and advanced skills in the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting
  • Strong experience in dealing with complex Employee Relations (ER) issues in a remote workforce
  • Able to operate in a matrixed environment, balancing reporting directly to a global HR team while also dotted line reporting to the business.
