Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ETP Chemist to manage the day-to-day operations of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ETP operations, wastewater treatment, chemical handling, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
- Ensure proper treatment of industrial wastewater before discharge or reuse.
- Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, COD, BOD, TDS, and TSS.
- Operate and maintain ETP equipment including pumps, blowers, dosing systems, filter press, and clarifiers.
- Ensure proper selection and dosing of chemicals for dyes and chemical effluent treatment.
- Maintain daily operation records, water analysis reports, chemical consumption records, and ETP logbooks.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained as per CETP and GPCB/CPCB guidelines.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of ETP equipment.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Laboratory teams.
- Follow EHS practices and support internal and external environmental audits.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in ETP operations.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
- Knowledge of chemicals and processes used to treat dyes effluents.
- Knowledge of pH, COD, BOD, TDS, and TSS.
- Experience with dosing, sludge handling, filter press, clarifier, and aeration systems.
- Knowledge of maintaining ETP logbooks, laboratory reports, and statutory records.
- Familiarity with CETP and GPCB regulations, and maintaining documentation in relation to these regulations.
- Knowledge of RO Plant, STP, and MEE is an added advantage.
