Role: Data Test Engineer / ETL Test Lead
Notice- Immediate to 30 Days
Location- Kolkata & Bangalore
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience as a Data Test Engineer or ETL Test Lead/Manager
- Strong experience working on ELT projects and Lakehouse architecture
- Expertise in handling semi-structured data
Data Processing & Validation
- Experience in reading and manipulating Parquet, Avro, and CSV files using PySpark/Python
- Hands-on experience in reading and flattening nested JSON files using PySpark/Python
- Strong knowledge of creating Spark Data Frames and validating them against source data
- In-depth understanding of the data reconciliation process
Databricks & Spark
- Strong experience working with Databricks Running and monitoring Databricks jobs
- Creating reusable data validation notebooks
- Working with Spark SQL
- Managing Repos and Workspaces
Cloud & Data Platforms
- Good understanding of Azure Cloud Platform Experience with ADLS / ADLS Gen2
- Strong working knowledge of Snowflake
SQL Expertise
- Excellent SQL skills with hands-on experience in writing advanced data validation queries, including:
- CTEs (Common Table Expressions)
- Views
- Window, aggregate, and string functions
- Subqueries
- Regular expressions
Process & Tools
- Practical experience in Agile testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Good to have:
- Experience with any IDE
- Knowledge of GitHub and branching strategies
- Exposure to automation testing using BDD
Domain & Soft Skills
- Experience in the Banking domain is a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
