As we set up our India office, we are looking for an ETL QA Analyst with a "can-do" attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit to join us as a key member of our QA organization. This role reports to the QA Lead and offers the unique opportunity to help build our India operations from the ground up, the right way.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution: Lead end-to-end testing for our Retail solution to ensure high-quality, reliable releases.
- ETL Validation: Validate batch ETL pipelines through row count validations, reconciliation checks, delta analysis, and stage-by-stage data quality checks.
- Test Development: Develop and maintain functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases specifically focused on ETL pipelines and data workflows.
- Data Testing: Write complex SQL queries involving joins, aggregations, window functions, and advanced filtering for deep data validation.
- Collaboration: Review product requirements and user stories to design clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria alongside Product and Engineering teams.
- Defect Management: Report and track defects in JIRA with clear reproduction steps and support root-cause analysis.
- Innovation: Continuously improve QA processes and utilize AI-driven testing tools to expand coverage and accelerate test creation.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–4 years of relevant experience in data validation and ETL testing.
- SQL Mastery: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with batch ETL pipelines, data workflows, job scheduling, and pipeline execution.
- Tools: Proficiency with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and version control using Git.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
- Mindset: A self-starter with strong ownership, attention to detail, and a growth mindset.
- Logistics: Ability to work effectively across distributed teams and support US time zones.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Python scripting for test automation and data validation.
- Familiarity with web automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of OLAP databases and data warehouse testing.
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce domain.
