1. Role OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented Estimation & Proposal Executive responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, techno-commercial proposals, and tender submissions for automation and panel manufacturing projects.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Estimation & Costing- Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
- PLC panels, MCC, PCC, Drive panels
- Automation projects and site work
- Analyze BOQ, RFQ, tender documents, and technical specifications
- Perform costing of components (PLC, VFD, switchgear, cables, instruments)
- Coordinate with purchase/vendors for latest pricing
B. Proposal Preparation- Prepare techno-commercial proposals as per client requirements
- Develop:
- Compliance statements
- Deviation sheets
- Commercial terms & conditions
- Ensure proposals are competitive and technically accurate
C. Tender Handling- Handle end-to-end tendering process
- Submission of online/offline tenders within deadlines
- Review and understand contract terms and risks
D. Technical Coordination- Coordinate with:
- Design team (for technical inputs)
- Sales team (for client requirements)
- Vendors (for quotations)
- Participate in pre-bid meetings if required
E. Cost Optimization- Suggest value engineering options to improve margins
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
F. Documentation & MIS- Maintain database of:
- Cost sheets
- Proposal formats
- Vendor quotations
- Track win/loss analysis for continuous improvement
3. Key Skills Required- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical panels & automation systems
- PLC, VFD, instrumentation basics
- Good understanding of BOQ analysis and costing methods
- Proficiency in Excel (costing sheets), Word, and ERP systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
4. Qualifications- Diploma / BE in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
- Additional training in estimation/tendering is a plus
5. Experience Requirements- 3–6 years in:
- Estimation / Proposal / Tendering
- Panel manufacturing / Automation industry
6. Behavioral Competencies- Attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- Time management (meeting tight tender deadlines)
- Good communication and coordination skills
7. Compensation- As per industry standards (based on experience and capability)
8. Reporting To- Sales Head / Business Development Manager
